Swim near a staffed lifeguard stand and read the beach warning flags, where green means low hazard. Stands run at the pier and the main parks, with extra towers through the summer.
City beach parking is paid through the Passport app, about $6 an hour or $25 for the day, enforced 7am to 7pm. No overnight parking.
