A gentle, west-facing swimming beach that exposes tidepools at low tide. The city reserves Central Beach and most of North Beach for swimming only, no hard boards, from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m., Memorial Day through Labor Day, with surfing pushed to Gator Beach at the south end and The Fence at the north end.
Free curbside parking runs along Ocean Boulevard, which fronts the beach.
