Rip currents form at breaks in the sandbars and near jetties, It is illegal to enter the Gulf inside Gulf Shores city limits under double red flags, and doing so can bring a fine or arrest, Boat traffic; fly a dive flag so boats can see you, Jellyfish and stingrays are in these waters
