Harrison County's Rules of the Beach ban glass, china and pottery, and require a Sand Beach Authority permit for motor vehicles, fireworks or open fires. A bonfire permit costs $25, non-refundable, arranged through the county's Sand Beach Office, open 7 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. Monday through Friday. No animals of any kind are allowed on the beach.

Parking

Parking bays and frontage roads run along U.S. Highway 90 next to the beach. A City of Biloxi ordinance closes those bays, the service drives and the frontage roads to parking from 10 p.m. to 6 a.m.

Protection

Harrison County's Sand Beach Department, operating as the Sand Beach Authority, sets and enforces rules along the county's sand beach, a roughly 26-mile stretch of Mississippi Sound shoreline that includes this part of Biloxi.
